2023 Spartan Dance Center Full Company Dance-A-Thon Details
Date: October 20, 2023 Time: 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm
We are bringing back the Spartan Dance Center Full Company Dance-a-thon! This is a fun and fit activity for students, that will also help them to cover some of the costs associated with competitive dance! At this event, team members are invited to join us for up to 5 straight hours of dance in exchange for pledges from family, friends, neighbors, etc. Dancers must collect at least two pledges to participate in the event.
The Dance-A-Thon has the highest return of all of our fundraisers, with 100% of the funds raised being applied directly to your child’s account. This is a great opportunity for them to raise a significant amount of money while simultaneously growing their skills as technicians and artists. Throughout the evening, we will be putting together a Halloween dance video (much like our past “Thriller” videos). The Dance-a-thon will begin promptly at 6:00 p.m. and continue until 11:00 P.M.
Rules

Students may start collecting pledges as soon as they receive the pledge sheets. Reminder: Pledge sheets need to be brought in on the day of the dance-a-thon.

Pledges may be made by anyone. However, participants may not ask for pledges from any of the staff members of Spartan Dance Center. Each sponsor making a pledge should write their own name, contact info, pledge per hour/flat pledge.

On the day of the dance-a-thon event, all participants will begin dancing at 6:00 pm.

Dancers will only have their accounts credited for the amount of money that is physically turned in the night of the dance-a-thon. Pledges may also be made via Venmo, but it MUST include your dancers name in the memo line.

Please bring any pledges in an envelope with your child’s name on it the day of the event.
Dancers should be picked up following the Dance-A-THON no later than 11:15 p.m.

What to wear
Please look at the images below and have your dancers bring clothes to change into for the video. Please don't buy anything new. Past costumes that are black and white are great. We also have costume pieces at the studio! Please pack "zombie" make up if you have some. We have volunteers here to help get the dancers hair and make up ready.
Drop off & Pick up
Drop off: All dancers should be dropped off in dance attire by 6:00 ready to learn choreography.
Durning the Event: We ask all parents to drop their dancers off. IF you are volunteering to help with makeup, we ask you to come back around 7:30.
Pick up: All dancers should be picked up at 11:00pm.
The Final Video
The goal is to have the final video put together by next week. We will post the video on facebook as well as on this page. PLEASE share as this will be great recognition for your dancers and the studio!
