Spartan Dance Company
Spartan Dance Company is our competitive program offering 5 program levels based on age and desired commitment level. Each program is audition based to ensure proper placement for your dancer.
Auditions take place each year in late spring, early summer. If you have missed our auditions, don’t worry, just reach out! We are always looking to meet new dancers to join our team. Our staff will work to design a plan to meet your dancers goals!

As a Company Member
As an SDC team member you add to our team chemistry. Our chemistry is a beautiful and incredibly crucial part of our team's success. Every SDC dancer is an instrumental part of the team and their importance to the group is individual, unique and imperative to all of the other team members. As a team we have a clear vision and goals that we work together to achieve. Being an SDC dancer allows the opportunity to be part of a team that not only builds dancers as individuals, but gives us friendships, bonds and support. Being a company member teaches what it means to be a part of something bigger than just ourselves. Our team has a vision that inspires all to work together towards the same attainable goals.
Together we work to improve on a daily basis. We will avoid platao and keep challenging and growing our skills personally and for our team. We understand that our accountability is to more than just ourselves, it is to the team. Our “get it done” attitude is all about action. Let's not talk about it, let's take action and challenge ourselves to meet our goals. Our dance culture is built on humility and authenticity while challenging us to grow in confidence and courage. We trust each other enough to be able to express our ideas freely and understand that talking about direction and strategy allows the best ideas to develop. We will be competitive on stage but equally collaborative while in the studio. We hold our team standards of excellence and high goals close to our hearts.
We work to perfect the little things, which sets us up for great success at big things. We will be nimble but mature in our practices. Regardless of the size or complexity of the challenges in front of us, we will stay nimble enough to make decisions and changes in direction quickly when needed. Our respect for the team and beliefs in each other creates a spirited bond and unity that makes being a part of SDC so much more than dance.
Team Level Breakdown
Full Company
Ages 10 - 18
Full Company is our most intense training program at SDC. Dedicated dancers aspiring to achieve the highest level of dance should consider this team. Dancers on Full Company train and compete at an advanced level with an emphasis on execution, expression, and developing their own voice as a dancer. This competitive team helps students to achieve mastery of their technical skills as well as prepares them for life after high school by encouraging time management, accountability, and resilience.
While it is a particularly good fit for students who may be considering dancing in college or pursuing a professional dance career, any serious dancer will benefit from the life skills acquired through this program.
Full Company dancers take a minimum of 7 hours of class per week and compete 4-9 competition numbers. These dancers are also invited to participate in extra choreography in the form of solos, duets, trios, small groups and guest choreography. These are optional opportunities with additional fees and rehearsal times.

Members of this team are introduced to more advanced concepts and choreography and begin to expand their training into new styles of dances. While dancers at this age may be starting to take their training more seriously, the program keeps a balance between hard work and fun; beginning with First-Step Company and continuing all the way to Full Company, team-building is emphasized through fun social activities such as photo shoots, spirit weeks, holiday parties, and more.
